Proshad Efune, M.D., M.S.C.S. is a dual trained, dual practicing pediatric anesthesiologist and intensive care physician. She completed her undergraduate education at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX, and her medical school training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX. She completed her Pediatrics Residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Philadelphia, PA. She underwent the remainder of her training, including an Anesthesiology Residency, Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship, and Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Efune is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Children’s Health Dallas and in addition to her clinical duties, engages in clinical research with a focus on respiratory adverse events after high risk pediatric adenotonsillectomy.

 

Dr. Efune currently resides in Irving, TX with her husband and two young boys. She enjoys all things travel related as well as ice hockey and Formula 1 Racing.
